Discover the Power of a Full Deck Restoration 

A neglected wooden deck that's been worn down over time is both unattractive to look at and not enjoyable to use. Sometimes, starting fresh is the best way to rejuvenate an outdoor space.

This project started when a retired couple in St. Mary's was referred to us and reached out after seeing other work we'd done in the area. Their 35-year-old wooden deck boards were clearly aged, showing visible weather damage, and overall structural fatigue made it more of an unusable eyesore than a space where they could spend time outdoors.

Their goal was to completely reimagine the space and be able to enjoy their deck again. Our role was to replace the deteriorated materials with a fresh, durable design that improved safety, elevated their entire outdoor living area, and required little maintenance.

A Deck Replacement With Big Results

The main consideration for this deck replacement was refining the layout and making it feel cohesive with the couple's home. That meant creating clean lines, a thoughtful layout that broke the deck into intentional sections, and making sure the border details aligned well with the back doors, stairs, and existing stone columns.

Taking the time to carefully plan every detail and transition ensured that the new deck flowed naturally and looked well-integrated into the existing home rather than added on. 

We replaced the old wooden deck boards with composite decking from TimberTech, which is more durable and low-maintenance than wood, because creating a long-lasting space with minimal upkeep was a must for this project. The TimberTech railing also made the space safer and more inviting.

The result was a dramatically transformed outdoor space that this couple could truly enjoy again, one that felt like an extension of their home rather than just a basic platform.
